Day 12

We had so much fun today with these pups! The pictures don't really show it, but today some of these guys have open eyes. Over the next 48 hours we should have eyes open on all the pups and then they will really start moving. While they can toddle a bit now, over the coming days they will take off. With the opening of their eyes we are moving on to starting more exercises and protocols from Puppy Culture.

Puppy Culture is a puppy raising protocol that helps raise the most balanced, healthy, smart puppies. Traditional training theory has long held the thought that puppy socialization duties belong to the families who adopt puppies but Puppy Culture starts the socialization process with the breeder. Beginning with the Early Neurological Stimulation exercises that we have been doing already, Puppy Culture has specific exercises and activities to complete with the pups at each stage of development. Today's new activity was to formally incorporate cuddle sessions with each of the puppies. This helps pups develop a love of touch and human interaction from their earliest days.

We try to faithfully follow the protocol so that each of our pups can achieve its full potential as the ultimate family companion. Enjoy pictures below of our cuddle session with Poppy's puppies- she keeps photobombing! (Maybe she remembers her own puppy-hood when we followed this same protocol with her and her siblings)

Holi's puppies enjoyed cuddles today too and didn't scrimp on sharing their cuteness!
