Six days old already

Holi's puppies are growing by leaps and bounds every day! We weigh each puppy at least once per day to make sure that each puppy is thriving and gaining weight and a couple of these little cuties have already almost doubled their birth weight. All of them are gaining weight and meeting their milestones. When they were born their noses and paws were pink but over the last several days they have darkened to the typical black color of cream Goldens.

Their eyes are still sealed closed and won't open until they are around 2 weeks old but the pups are now able to scoot around the whelping box pretty effectively and are always eager for a snack whenever Momma Holi is close.

Each puppy gets a daily cuddle session and they have all had their tiny toenails trimmed over the last couple of days. Their nails grow fast so it's important to keep them trimmed so they don't hurt their mom when they are nursing.

We are excited to celebrate their one week birthday tomorrow and continue to soak in the tiny puppy cuddles!
